A window is open wide A Sunshine car tells me why he’s alive with his horn He says he was born to wander dated streets The same reason that created me I guess we were bound to meet I’m letting life take a page I’ve learned that love is more than just building a cage for your hearts But when you’re apart from that love you have A set of shoulders and a sturdy back Can’t keep you from feeling sad I’ve strayed far away, so far away And one day the sun won’t shine He’ll say it’s cause he has not near enough time for himself And when his wealth comes from that energy He’s pumping out for you and me He can well afford a day of sleep I might be a man of dreams I might search above all the practical things in life Like a climber who’ll reach a peak Knowing there’s nothing else to seek I might come back down quite readily I strayed far away, so far away So I buried in them hills A tin of gold with the requisite skills to life And on a quiet night I burned the map thinking there was no need for that Cause my baby you know she’s got my back Don’t walk away, I’ve got your back I strayed far away, so far away But I’ll come down unbound, unbound I’m coming down, unbound

I hoped this’d be that song to capture you But instead it’s tearing me into Separate sides, you and I, we drift apart And in the space that’s left of me, is a simple song that comes out wrong I had dreams we’d live like king and queen Needing nothing but our royalty You’d read Wilde, I’d sing Barnes, with tangled arms Tapping danger on the head but never harmed and never wronged That dreams for a different song. You can see by my swollen eyes, I might have cried You can see by my blistered fingers here, I have tried I try to spend my time with better things than writings tunes that don’t say what I mean I mean to hope, hope for you, It’s all I want to do But I’m left with a string of doubts And a simple song that comes out wrong I’m fearing your gone You can see by my swollen eyes, I might have cried You can see by my blistered fingers here, I have tried

Honey, You make it hard for me when we’re apart it’s just hard to be Money, you run just as fast as you can, yeah you’re leaping out of my hand, out of my hand Taxi, take me out of this world, All I want is me and my girl, me and my girl My feet are feeling sore and the subway is hotter than ever before, Hallelujah that’s part of an ancient tune Heartache, you are the worst of them all, somehow I’m always willing to fall, wiling to fall It’s funny, knowing I’ll be dead in the ground, that won’t silence the sound Somewhere down in Lincolns tomb He strokes his beard as he listens to the Hallelujah of an ancient tune Hallelu, Hallelu, hallelu, Hallelujah Judy, Don’t come to hear me play in the band, it’s music that you won’t understand, you won’t understand Timmy, I know you worry about the money you owe, it’s better to be poor of the body then poor of the soul One day when we all have a break We’ll take the kids down to Waccamaw Lake We’ll rent a canoe and sing that ancient tune One day when this world’s gone I’ll be looking for a song to hum Hallelujah It’ll come as an ancient tune One day honey you and I will earn the keys to a better life, but not too soon Hallelu, Hallelu, hallelu, Hallelujah I’ll never know, where I’m gonna go, I’ll never know

Breathe in the good days, Breathe out the bad Your problems will dissipate fast I know you can make it You won’t have to fake it Everything is under control If a good god has got us, you’ll see what I mean When trusting is slippery but it’s free I know you can handle it but if you need to take a candle to it, you’ll see Everything is under control Let’s culminate and generate Let’s fall in love and stimulate I glimpsed the goodness in you Let’s burn the light through the night Kiss me ‘cause it’s only right that I touch that beauty in you You’ve got all you need Pebbles are my body, water is your soul We’ve made it, so rivers can flow There’s no disaster that we won’t look at after as a waterfall that was under control Let’s culminate and generate Let’s fall in love and stimulate I glimpsed the goodness in you Let’s burn the light through the night Kiss me ‘cause it’s only right that I touch that beauty I hold that beauty That I glimpse that beauty in you You’ve got all you need and all I need too.

Reunion Day 04:22
Brother on the west coast, deep among the canyons Tell me how does life go, there without companions? We'll be coming swiftly, as soon the plane does fly Then me and you and Timmy, will take a bottle up to those red cliffs and drink to life. L'chaim We should all think of sisters, who swam within our shadows Whether they are better now for knowing how to paddle. Sarah B. she's a golden heart she always shines to me Like a quiet glimpse of winter sun that peeks it's way out through the clouds and gently warms your feet I'm pulling out the pictures I have saved I'm singing out reunion day refrains Oh, we'll all get together again An early morning siren, slices through the silence Headed for the apartments where our parents are residing Heaven could quickly take them, away in it's own plane Leaving me and you to follow through with sons and daughters of our own to love them just the same. Mazal Tov I'm pulling out the pictures I have saved I'm singing out reunion day refrains Oh we'll all get together again

Listen, Love 06:34
Listen Love, hear my footsteps crushing snow hear the one soul you will always know Wait for me, you know I leave you not to flee But to build a life for you and me Just wait Nothing love, nothing comes neither work nor wealth I’m left city streets here, nothing else Answer me, I call you now ringing urgently It seems this loneliness is killing me Just wait, Please wait Listen Love, The Truth oh Love Truth is I’m coming back to you That truth oh love, it comes now when there’s nothing left It’s beating life into this empty chest Just listen love, hear my footsteps crushing snow hear the one soul you will always know oh I come, Oh I come back to you

What I fear is I could disappear If I end up staying here, my life would pay me a meager sum just to slip away, slip away The houses here are empty wooden cribs they are longing for their kids, who’s lives had left for good slipped away through the neighborhood, left for good But beating on the stop signs and the playground swings is the sense that people aren’t guilty of anything but of wanting, but of wanting, wanting The golden coin, the chance to shine the hero fool, the dreamer’s crime Far from me, in a rain-soaked mountain tree that’s where I dream you wait for me with a book of your rhymes to lend me out some peace of mind And there among the river rocks and streams neither you nor I will be blamed for anything but of wanting, but of wanting, but of wanting The golden coin, the chance to shine the hero fool, the dreamer’s crime oh so far away, so far away I’m wanting, I’m wanting, I’m wanting you Your golden hair, your secret signs your humble heart, oh love of mine

The winter chill hadn’t got to us yet we were exchanging looks like changing books in a library of love suddenly my loneliness was gone you had pierced it with your thumb shot it with your gun I had no bed with which to rest our head so we laid it down with blankets on the floor with the dog in the living room and the smiling silver moon came to bid her wishes well on our new cocoon Will this story end as it should? I think I’m the wrong one to write it, you should The summer heat and the storm of the century is beating up the coast to where we are stealing all the stars A wondrous wind blow and we’re naked there in the street you tell me this is how that it should be when we go Will this story end as it should I think I’m the wrong one to write it I’d be crawling to you, if I had my part in it Just give me a sign that it’s alright and that you’ve got me on you mind ‘Cause otherwise I will rewrite into a story that will be better than just me alone One thing I can say I’ve learned from the movies Is concluding that all things come to an end the flickered lights will dim but when the credits do roll that last scene on the screen could be the one where you and me have grown old Will this story end as it should I think I’m the wrong one to write it

I was in the dark I was talking to god then the morning snowstorm ran away with the fog and a light came tumbling in It’s a miracle o mama that I can see again I was slow to speak I was echo-less and dull I turned my silent phone off I was receiving no calls then a voice came whispering in It’s a miracle o mama, that I can hear again Yes I can hear you calling out saying all is good again I won’t have to wait, I won’t have to, I won’t have to wait again There are whores around they are knocking at my door Breathing through the windows and the cracks on the floor But a hero comes in the end It’s a miracle o mama, that I believe again A hero comes in the end It’s a miracle o mama, that I believe, I do believe again.

Tell me what’s happening Are you pulling away from me? I see that your breathing Like you’ve started a race Tell me is it possible that when we are placed apart you’ll see in your truest heart we were nothing to waste In this hand I hold A necklace of bitter gold that told me I’d have the chance to please you again In these eyes I have I vision that never lasts of me beating poverty and winning you back Trust turns to shame in a stained and tattered shoe A child is learning pain just like me, oh like me losing you. Tell me what’s happening are you giving up on me? ‘Cause I’m merely potential and nothing concrete Well, I’m not liability There’s something inside of me it’s setting of sirens and shaking the walls It’s trust turned to shame it’s a stained and tattered shoe A child learning pain and it’s me, oh it’s me losing you. I thought if I could be with you one more time Maybe I could change your mind Oh, if I could be with you one more time.
